SEASONED LOVE
Good morning said the Sun as she peaked in between miserable clouds Grey and busting out of it's seams The clouds released themselves upon the world, full of promise for a rainbow And so I woke up listening to the rain tap on the window & for a second I thought you were there... But it was only the memory of us tapping on the caves of my heart. Good afternoon said the sun, hiding in between layers of white clouds, Holding back the emotions of a downpour just so she can reconcile with the blossom of spring And so I worked through the storm, carrying the burden of loneliness and displaying a smile. Praying that our love will overcome the gap we've created by the silence of our love Good Evening said the sun as she slip pass the moon to mourn the distance between us She cries out for love to flourish in the stem of a rose, exposing each fallen petal as it whittlers away by the Winters chill And so I went home to a empty nest, laid down the bags of regret and settled on Friends. Flipped through the story book albums as the rain continue to fall and eye lids grew heavy with the weight of time and the sun went to sleep but not without first saying good night my love.
